Neighborhood Park Preserved
The Stagecoach Preserve protects some of the last remaining open space and habitat between the American River Canyon and the residential area of Auburn near the popular Stagecoach Trailhead. Thanks to local community involvement restoring this neighborhood resource open space, habitat, and recreation opportunities have been expanded and protected.
Riparian Habitat
Protecting habitat around streams and wetlands ensures that nature’s filtration system remains intact reducing erosion and keeping watersheds healthy and clean.
Native Species
Invasive plant removal makes room for native plant species improving habitat for native wildlife and recreating intact ecosystems.
Public Recreation
The memorial bench area near the creek off Canyon Way is open to public access; the remainder of the preserve is not open to the public. The trailhead for the popular public Stagecoach Trail is located nearby.
