The application for the 2026 Community Council is closed. Please stay tuned for next year’s application period!

Interested in sharing your passion for conservation with others who will benefit? Please consider applying to be part of Placer Land Trust’s Community Council. It’s a one-year commitment that will make a difference over lifetimes!
The Community Council is a small group of committed members who help raise awareness and support for protecting the natural and agricultural lands that are so important to our region. It’s more than just an advisory group—these supporters help to amplify Placer Land Trust’s voice and impact as our region continues to grow at a rapid pace.
We are looking to expand Council membership to diversify along:
- Interest, background, and experiences
- Age (Outstanding high school or college/university students – we hold seats open for you!)
- Geography (throughout Placer County and greater Sacramento region)
Community Council members are asked to commit to a minimum one-year term, participate in bi-monthly meetings, and join optional projects or working group activities. And the benefits of being on the Community Council are limitless!
Are you interested in keeping up on Placer Land Trust’s progress, serving as a resource within your area of expertise, and helping to broaden and deepen our connections within the community? Then apply today! Application period for the 2026 Council is open November 1st through 30th.
