Christine serves as the Resource Management Communications Officer for CAL FIRE, where she is tasked with educating the public about the work our State Foresters do to protect the property and resources of California. Prior to that, she spent nearly 20 years in nonprofit management, developing hands-on environmental and agriculture education programs in Lake Tahoe, Truckee and throughout the Central Valley to educate youth about the plants and animals that inhabit California, and the importance of preserving the clean water, air and space that we all need for survival.

Christine is an alumna of the Sacramento Metro Chamber, Leadership Sacramento program (LS17), serves on the board of the Gold Country Fair Heritage Foundation and volunteers as a mentor for a foster youth. Christine lives in Auburn and enjoys mountain biking, camping and travel.

“Having grown up camping, fishing, hiking, and swimming throughout California’s wild places, ensuring that others have the same opportunities is important to me. Being a member of the community council is an opportunity for me to advocate for the preservation of these spaces in my own backyard and to support an organization that shares my values.”
