Iggy Rivas discovered his love for the outdoors while growing up in Los Angeles. (Yes, it was possible back then!) Since moving to Northern California, he has seen urbanization taking over formerly pristine areas in Placer County.
Iggy worked for a mining and construction company based in Sacramento, retiring as the Division Geologist. His interests include hiking, fly fishing the West, birding, golf, and exploring microbreweries.
“Last summer I volunteered as a lookout in a fire tower in El Dorado County and it was so satisfying that I wanted other opportunities to volunteer in my local community. PLT perfectly fits the bill! I want to do what I can to help preserve what is left for future generations to enjoy and PLT is a great vehicle to do just that.”
