Jeffrey Foltz is a native-born Californian for most of his adult life he has lived and worked in northern California. His home and community for the last 15 years has been the city of Rocklin. During his career as a City Manager he helped build communities and strived to improve the lives of those who lived there.

Jeffrey learned as a Boy Scout in his youth the joy of being outdoors and experiencing nature and all it has to offer. As he grew, hiking, camping, horseback riding, sailing, and fly fishing became his passions. He learned to understand and respect what mother nature can teach us about ourselves and our planet and the delicate balance between the two.

For the last 15 plus years Jeffrey has been a member of Gold Country Trails Council (GCTC) serving in many capacities including as a Board member. Jeffrey is also a member of the Rocklin Historical Society and has served on their Board educating and preserving the historical heritage of Rocklin.

Continuing his public service in retirement, he felt it was important to give back to the community in which you live. “We are here on this planet, but for a short time. Hopefully, we do our small part to make it a better place and pass it on to the next generation better than we found it.”

“Placer Land Trust has been doing excellent work over the last 30 years creating a Vision, preserving agriculture properties, protecting open space, collaborating with partners to protect our lands and providing a healthy place for current and future generations to live, work and enjoy the wonders of ‘mater natura’. I’m grateful to be part of the Placer Land Trust Community Council and furthering their ‘Vision’ for another 30 years.”
