Ann is very interested in preserving open spaces for recreational uses. She and her husband purchased a home on 5 acres of horse property in Placer County’s North Auburn, specifically to be near Hidden Falls. They ride their horses there often and enjoy the congenial interaction of hikers, mountain bikers, dog walkers and other equestrians safely and happily enjoying the recreational opportunities offered there.

Ann has trained 4 dogs with Faith’s Dog Training, offered by the Auburn Recreational District at its various parks in the community, and they have earned their Canine Good Citizen titles there. She has been a member of the Auburn State Parks Patrol group and is currently a member of the Folsom Lake Trail Patrol. She has 4 Tevis completion buckles, having ridden the rugged, historic, endurance trail’s 100 miles through the Sierra.

She is a retired attorney, married to Jonathan Zerin, mother of two daughters and 6 grandchildren, all of whom share her enthusiasm for outdoor recreational activities which are so important for our and our community’s physical and spiritual wellbeing.
