Did you hear the news? We can now OFFICIALLY say… the 402-acre heart of Clover Valley is protected forever!
Finally, after years of effort, we are so thrilled to announce the permanent protection of this precious place for conservation, education, and public benefit. Escrow has closed, and a conservation easement has been placed on the land that will protect it forever from subdivision and development.
This project was an amazing demonstration of the power of our local community to come together and support a common cause. Local agencies, organizations, and individuals like you rallied together to protect Clover Valley despite the steep odds. Placer Land Trust is so grateful for the support of our members — you truly do make great things possible!
We are now working on plans for stewardship and for educational and recreational access. Please note that the preserve is not yet open to the public. When guidelines are established for safe, legal and compatible public access, Clover Valley will be accessible by the public in ways that align with the protection of the natural and cultural values of the land. We also plan to offer docent-led tours this year… stay tuned!
