- Swincar Single
- Swincar Tandum
Placer Land Trust’s Laursen Bear River Preserve South in Auburn is not open to the public, so participants will have the preserve to themselves to enjoy a trail system that winds through oak woodlands, granite outcroppings, and bird songs. Participants are also welcome to bring a picnic and enjoy additional time outdoors!
Distance and difficulty: The trails cover about 1.5- 2 miles with minimal hills and some uneven terrain. The parking area is gravel, and it and the demonstration areas also have uneven footing.
Who should attend: This event is for anyone who is disabled and want to spend time outdoors and people who support them. Participants must be at least 16 years old to demonstrate the devices, but friends and family of all ages are welcome. Participants will also need to be able to transfer on their own, or with the assistance of their guardian/caregiver.
Sorry, no dogs are allowed unless they are service animals due to the potential conflicts with livestock and wildlife.
This is a free event.
Registration:
- The deadline to sign up is 5 pm on Thursday before the event unless the event fills first.
- You may only register yourself and members of your household. People outside of your household must register themselves.
- Space is limited! Please only register if you will be attending so that you don’t take a spot away from someone else.
