The Dream: we plan to build 20 miles of new trails on 3,000 acres of foothills wilderness north of Auburn. If you and your family share this dream and love to play in our natural wonders, read on – this is your chance to be the Hero in this dream! In addition to officially opening the Canyon View Trail on June 1st, the event marked the launch of a Trails & Recreation Capital Campaign.
This is a turning point for Placer Land Trust. We have been acquiring land with a vision of the public enjoying these natural playgrounds, connecting with them and taking a hand in protecting them for over a decade. With this campaign, we take the first step at turning this dream into reality.
But we can’t do it without you! Join us and help carve a path forward through this pristine golden landscape.

In April the Placer County Board of Supervisors and Placer Land Trust approved a deal that will connect the 1,200-acre Hidden Falls Regional Park with 3,000 additional acres to the north protected by Placer Land Trust. The 25 miles of trail at the Park will soon connect through rolling oak woodlands from Coon Creek to the Bear River. Hikers, mountain bikers and equestrians: you will be free to explore the hills, cool your toes in the streams, find treasures in the granite outcroppings and bask in the glory of our natural playground.

Check out the proposed trail map.

However, we need to raise $750,000 to turn this dream into a reality.

The Opportunity: Be a Hero – If you thrive here because of our outdoor riches, please contribute to build this dream!  Make a donation of $35 or more and receive a special gift. After that consider becoming a volunteer, and tell your neighbors and all your friends. If you have a question or would like to talk about Placer Land Trust’s Trails & Recreation Campaign or any of our work feel free to call our office at 530-887-9222 or email info@placerlandtrust.org at any time.
