Boy Scout Troop 121

2016 started out with some much-needed rain, but that didn’t stop a few youth groups from enjoying all that the outdoors have to offer. In January, Boy Scout Troop 121 camped at our Taylor Ranch Preserve to learn how to prepare for winter camping at higher elevations. They worked on learning and improving several camping skills, such as preparing meals, safe campfire practices, and other merit badge activities.

As we would expect from the Scouts, they were good stewards of the land and left no trace – despite the very wet and rainy weekend! As a thank you for the opportunity to camp on this private preserve, the Troop plans to return and preform a few service projects for PLT!
