Placer Land Trust members are building a brighter future for the “next generation”! But don’t take our word for it, let one young land-lover tell you herself…

I grew up in Placer County on my parents’ organic farm known as The Natural Trading Company. Our farm has been growing organic produce since 1995. As a child, I romped through the orchards, ate fresh fruit and vegetables and had a great place to learn about nature.

I also experienced the magic of lying in the orchard with my dad and quietly watching baby barn owls fledge.  Now, as a high school senior, I have learned not to take conservation lightly. I remember bursting into tears after seeing a beautiful oak grove plowed bare, making way for a new shopping center. I know development is essential, but maintaining some of what makes Placer County so desirable is important.

I am grateful that Placer Land Trust protects land like my family’s farm and gorgeous open spaces. Preserving land this way gives me peace of mind that some wild and agricultural land will be saved for my future children and grandchildren to enjoy as I have.  Your donations make it possible to preserve this beautiful, productive and wild land.

Thank you very much!
