It has been an incredible year for mushrooms in the foothills, as you may have noticed! We’re seeing a tremendous fungal diversity in our area, and the oak woodland trails at Canyon View Preserve are a prime spot to observe a wide variety of mushrooms and other fungi.
Welcome to one of PLT’s newest protected preserves, a gem in the middle of Rocklin! On this hike we will visit the many ecosystems recently preserved in this unique locale, including oak woodlands, grasslands, and riparian areas.
Land conservation is a full-time job, and then some — that’s why we are so grateful for the volunteers who help us leverage our resources and accomplish so much!
