It was another amazing, record-breaking year for the region’s Big Day of Giving! Our generous community gave over $13.3 million to almost 700 participating nonprofits that help our region thrive. It is always a feel-good day to be part of such an inspiring philanthropic movement! As for Placer Land Trust, our staff and board members couldn’t be more thrilled with the results! Our members, both new and longtime supporters, gave over $174,000 to show our region how much protected natural and agricultural land means to them. We can’t wait to put these investments to work and share the news of new preserves with you in the near future! BDOG 2021 by the numbers…
- Placer Land Trust members raised over $174,000
- We received 461 donations from 428 donors — both record-breaking results!
- We had two new fundraising pages this year — PLT docent, Jan Foster, and our Community Council members created fundraisers to help us spread the word and raise more money for our important cause. Thank you all for your efforts!
- PLT’s Board fundraising page raised just under $15,000; and PLT docent Gary Wells’ page smashed his goal and received donations from 29 people — which means Gary will be writing a song with the names of 29 donors. Good luck Gary!
- …plus many new members to help expand our reach and further our mission!
Thanks again to our members for making Big Day of Giving 2021 such a successful and memorable day — we are forever grateful!
