It was another amazing, record-breaking year for the region’s Big Day of Giving! Our generous community gave nearly $13.4 million to 718 participating nonprofits that help our region thrive. It is always a feel-good day to be part of such an inspiring philanthropic movement!

As for Placer Land Trust, our staff and board members couldn’t be more thrilled with the results! Our members, both new and longtime supporters, gave over $202,000 to show our region how much protected natural and agricultural land means to them. We can’t wait to put these investments to work and share the news of new preserves with you in the near future! BDOG 2022 by the numbers…

  • Placer Land Trust members raised $202,553
  • We received 475 donations from 452 donors — both record-breaking results!
  • We had a new youth-led fundraising page this year — the Placer High School Environmental Club created a fundraiser to help us spread the word and raise more money for our important cause. Thank you to them, our Board of Directors, our Community Council, and volunteers Gary Wells and Jan Foster for your fundraising and outreach efforts!
  • …AND, 82 people became new members (also a record) with their gift on BDOG to help expand our reach and further our mission!

Thanks again to our members for making Big Day of Giving 2022 such a successful and memorable day — we are forever grateful!
