Let’s get outside and throw caution to the wind! This Open Preserve Day is for you to come out and enjoy the Laursen South Preserve without a guide.

Calling all serious hikers — join our trained docents to explore a seldom-visited section of Harvego Bear River Preserve!

Bundle up, pack a thermos of your favorite hot beverage, and be prepared for a unique sensory experience of a Placer Land Trust preserve at night!

Start the New Year out with a peaceful winter morning hike! Come enjoy the crisp woodland air and a landscape preparing for spring.  Docents will guide the hike and take you to various outcrop vistas for catching views of peaks, mountain ranges, and landmarks.  

Want a place to mountain bike with your family or friends without the crowds?  How about taking in some pristine oak woodlands?  Or ride past spectacular rock formations, the flowing Raccoon Creek, and stop to take in the panoramic views of the Sierra Nevada foothills and Sacramento Valley! Look no further – come ride with us! 

Come enjoy Big Hill Preserves and soak in the wildness of winter! You can feel the blue oak woodlands and Raccoon Creek watershed teaming with life as you meander along the trails. See how many migratory species you can spot that are only around this time of year. Take in the rushing Racoon Creek and the views from the top of Big Hill! It’s a truly special way to start a winter’s day! 

Calling all serious hikers! This hike will pass sites, views and flora not typically seen elsewhere on our preserves due to the remote route. The route traverses up and down foothills and ravines with steep climbs, passes impressive views and requires continuos strenuous effort. 

Bring the family by our location in Downtown Auburn after the Festival of Lights Parade to celebrate the beauty of our region! Light refreshments will be served.
