The Membership Specialist position furthers Placer Land Trust’s mission by supporting membership outreach, retention, stewardship, and recognition.
Elia earned a bachelor’s degree from The University of San Diego in Environmental Studies with a minor in Sociology, combining her love of the natural world with her love of people, and her desire to strengthen the connection between the two. She has a passion for Environmental Justice and is eager to help the Placer Land Trust preserve land for everyone. Her goal is to get people excited about conservation and stewardship, and ensure that people from all different backgrounds feel welcome on the land we protect together. As an Auburn native, Elia is at home on the many trails in the area and is always looking for a chance to find new places to explore.
“I am so thrilled to have the chance to work with the PLT to bring people together as a cohesive community to protect and enjoy the beautiful natural environment that Placer County has to offer. My parents raised me with the American River Canyon as my backyard. To watch development slowly encroach upon something I love so much is worrisome. My hope is that we can learn together how to grow responsibly, while maintaining space for rivers and critters and trees and all of the vital things to thrive so that we can preserve them for their own sake, as well as for future generations.”
