Join Placer Land Trust to clean up Canyon View Preserve… Every Litter Bit Counts!
Date & Time: Saturday, February 28, 2026 9:00 am – noon
Location: Canyon View Preserve – learn more about the preserve here.
While we were working on a restoration project on Canyon View Preserve to remove invasive blackberry bushes, an even greater scourge was revealed: trash, lots of it! A culvert is emptying onto the preserve, bringing along all sorts of refuse in its flow.
Please join us to help clean up this area and pick up trash!! Every litter bit counts – and this beautiful preserve needs the love!
More details, directions to the Preserve, and a list of what to bring will be provided when you register.
Registration will close by the Friday before the event. One registration per participant. Adult Parent/Guardian signature is required for children under 18.
Distance and difficulty: The clean-up site is down a dirt trail, approximately ½ mile on uneven terrain. At the end of the cleanup, please plan to pack and carry out any bags of trash uphill if they are not too heavy, to dispose of yourself. Heavy items will be picked up at a later date.
Who should attend: Families are welcome – the activities are best suited for adults and youth ages 10 and up. Any minor must be accompanied by a supervising adult.
This is a free event!
