Burrowing Owl Enhancement Project

During the month of June volunteers can join Placer Land Trust, Defenders of Wildlife and The Burrowing Owl Conservation Network at our Lincoln Preserves to install artificial burrow systems for the Western Burrowing Owl.

The Burrowing Owl population has been declining for the past 15 years and the main problem is habitat degradation and destruction.  In California the Burrowing Owl faces these risks because of outdated policies and weak laws.  For more information on Burrowing Owls please visit http://www.burrowingowlconservation.org/

Enhancement Project Dates
