Kelleann’s passion for the environment and her professional training as a landscape architect led her to understand the critical importance of land conservation. Her teaching, research and community service all focused on this throughout her career. She recently retired from Penn State as the director of the Stuckeman School of Design and is delighted to have found Auburn and the Placer Land Trust. Kelleann served on the board of Clearwater Conservancy for decades so she is well versed in the role of land trusts in building awareness for, and leading the charge in, land protection. She loves fresh air and the natural beauty of the area – so Kelleann can often be found hiking, biking, snowshoeing, exploring, etc.!
“We have a responsibility to our community and to future generations to protect vital lands/ecosystems for habitat as well as their association with water resources/ management. Upon moving here from PA I sought out the local land trust and was completely captivated by how terrific PLT is! I am delighted to get involved by serving on the Community Council!”
