We are pleased to welcome Maggie Tides as the newest member of our Board of Directors! Maggie is an attorney with Sher Edling LLP, a law firm specializing in environmental litigation on behalf of public entities across the country. She’s also a talented artist and graphic designer. Maggie lives in Loomis with her husband and daughter and enjoys biking, hiking, and especially running. She has completed several ultramarathons, including two 100-mile races, two 100km races, and several 50 mile and 50km races.
“Placer County is incredibly rich in natural resources, from the American River to oak woodlands to rice fields,” says Maggie. “In joining the Placer Land Trust team, I hope to share my love of these beautiful places and inspire others to enjoy and protect them, too.” We’re glad to have Maggie on our Board, and we’re looking forward to learning from the fresh perspective she will bring!
