When: Thursday, November 2nd, 2023, 6:00-8:00PM
Where: Placer Land Trust office, 922 Lincoln Way, Suite 200, Auburn
You are invited to join Placer Land Trust for an in-person workshop to learn about agricultural conservation easements, benefits to landowners, and available funding opportunities! This free workshop is for Placer County ranchers and farmers with productive agriculture, and will explore how agricultural conservation easements work and how an easement can benefit you and your ranch/farm.
Agricultural Conservation Easements are designed to protect farms and ranches from development, to ensure farm and ranch viability for future generations, to conserve grazing and cultivated lands, and provide financial benefits to landowners. We’ll have handouts available you can take home and read at your leisure.
This workshop will focus on:
- The specifics of agricultural conservation easements
- Project criteria
- Building envelopes
- Financial benefits
- Common misconceptions
- Testimonials from landowners with existing agricultural conservation easements with Placer Land Trust
- Q & A time
Advance registration is required for this free workshop and space is limited. It may not take two hours, but we wanted to provide plenty of time for you to ask questions. Light refreshments will be available. Please note our office is on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator.
