21 fun ways to celebrate National Great Outdoors Month and National Get Outdoors Day in June
Visit land preserves or participate in planned Placer Land Trust Activities mid-May through end-June – enjoy benefits of being outdoors and earn cool prizes!
How to participate:
- Visit Placer Land Trust Passport preserves or join a docent-led hike or an Open Preserve Day between May 17 and June 30, 2024. Click here to see all public preserves.
- Take a photo of the Preserve’s Land Trust sign or your experience and write a sentence (or more!) about your favorite part of the visit.
- By July 8, 2024: Email us with your name, mailing address, photos and favorite part sentence(s), subject line: Placer Land Trust Preserve Passport
- If inclined, post your photos on Facebook or Instagram with the following hashtags: #PlacerLandTrustPassport #OutsideWithPlacerLandTrust
- Please plan your trip in advance so you have enough water, food, and weather protection appropriate to your visit.
How to win a prize:
- Visit or attend 1 Placer Land trust preserves (on your own or as part of a Placer Land Trust planned activity) and win your choice of PLT merchandise
- If you visit more than 1 Preserve, for each additional Preserve visited, you will get a ticket for a drawing for the prize of your choice. Drawing for prizes will take place by mid-July.
- Our Prize Coordinator will help arrange receipt of your prize!
Placer Land Trust “merch” selection may include drawstring backpacks, thermos, hats, keychain with flashlight/whistle, stickers, and more.
Prizes via the ticket drawing include gift cards to area businesses, potted tree from local nursery, and more! One entry per family.
