UPDATED: Postponed to 2022
Yep, we jinxed it! As soon as we shared how EXCITED we were to celebrate the Placer Conservator in person, the rates of Covid infection shot up. ☹ As a result, we have made the tough decision to postpone the Placer Conservator event scheduled for this October. Rather than hosting another virtual event, we are waiting until we can safely celebrate the special people who help make land conservation possible — Paul Aronowitz and members like you — in person in 2022.
Despite that setback, one thing that is NOT changing is our plan to move full steam ahead on protecting more land. In fact, we hope to complete the creation of THREE (or more) preserves before the end of 2021! That includes the permanent protection of land along the Wild and Scenic section of the North Fork American River — which is being made possible by funds raised from generous supporters like you at last year’s Placer Conservator event.
That’s why the funds raised at the Placer Conservator are so critical to our success as an organization. Now that we’re not having the Placer Conservator event this fall, our need for community support in 2021 is greater than ever! Here’s how you can help…
• For Organizations, please consider sponsoring our “non-event” with a 100% charitable donation. Not only will you be making an investment that will benefit us all for years to come, we will also thank you publicly for generously sticking with your annual support on social media and in our electronic and printed newsletters! Learn more about sponsorship here.
• For Individuals, please help us celebrate our 30th anniversary and all we have accomplished together through our newly expanded “30 for 30” campaign!
- Set up a recurring donation and help us surpass our goal of 30 Sustaining members
- Include Placer Land Trust in your estate plans so that we have at least 30 Forever Society members who have invested in a lasting legacy
- Make an additional gift of $30 (or a multiple of 30), or 30% more than you normally give in a year.
And everyone can safely participate in our Online Auction this fall! Stay tuned to learn how you can be the winning bidder of amazing vacation stays, unique experiences, local dining/drinking outings, and other exciting items or packages!
No matter how you participate, your tax-deductible investment supports Placer Land Trust’s work of protecting natural and agricultural land, restoring habitat, and enhancing outdoor recreation which makes Placer County a great place to live, work and play – now and forever. Let’s not let Covid come between us and conservation!

Placer Land Trust’s annual Placer Conservator event is all about celebrating the people who make land conservation in our region possible. For this year’s event, we are planning to be back in person with our members and can’t wait to honor our 2021 Placer Conservator Awardee, Paul Aronowitz!
Paul has been a “rock” for Placer Land Trust, serving as our legal counsel since our early days, helping to ensure that our conservation projects are legally sound and positioned to provide the best possible outcomes for all. Paul, along with his wife Diane, has also been a member for nearly two decades, helping to fund the permanent protection of our valued lands. We simply wouldn’t be where we are as an organization without Paul’s involvement!

Additional information will be coming soon; keep on eye on this webpage for more details in the near future. Tickets will go on sale later in August, and opportunities to sponsor the event are available now. We hope to see you there!
