Placer Land Trust’s annual Placer Conservator event has always been all about celebrating the people who make land conservation in our region possible. It’s important for us to be able to gather together to celebrate our members and conservation leaders, and to shout from the rooftops what we’ve been able to accomplish together.

We want as many people as possible to join us in this celebration, which is why we are shaking things up and turning our one-day event into a week of Conservation Celebration! During the week of October 17-23, we will shine a spotlight on the value of permanently protected lands with an online auction, a reception at The Ridge Golf Club and Events Center, an Oktoberfest-themed night out in Rocklin, and a family-friendly event on a Placer Land Trust preserve. There will be something for everyone!

But one thing will stay the same—we’ll be presenting the 2021/2022 Placer Conservator Award to Paul Aronowitz (take two!)! Paul has been a “rock” for Placer Land Trust, serving as our legal counsel since our early days, helping to ensure that our conservation projects are legally sound and positioned to provide the best possible outcomes for all. Paul, along with his wife Diane, has also been a member for nearly two decades, helping to fund the permanent protection of our valued lands. We simply wouldn’t be where we are as an organization without Paul’s involvement!

The funds raised during Conservation Celebration Week are critical to our success as an organization, supporting Placer Land Trust’s work of protecting natural and agricultural land, restoring habitat, and enhancing outdoor recreation which makes Placer County a great place to live, work and play – now and forever.
