Ron has lived and worked in Roseville since the early 1970’s, and served as an Associate Planner for the City of Roseville for 12 years before retiring in 2017. He enjoys hiking, photography, camping, playing guitar, and enjoying time with his wife Jan, and their grandson Winston. Ron has been a Volunteer Hike Docent for Placer Land Trust since October 2017.
“It was a goal to do volunteer work for Placer Land Trust after retiring, as I believe and support their philosophy and mission – ‘We believe that wild open spaces and natural playgrounds add to quality of life and are an essential platform to connect people to themselves, others and the land.’ The City of Roseville and other areas of Placer County have changed dramatically over the years. Orchards, ranches and open land that once surrounded the city and existed throughout the County have now become large residential subdivisions and commercial centers. Protecting open space and agricultural land in the County is essential in order to maintain the quality of life that inspired us to want to live here.”
