Join Placer Land Trust for a river cleanup day!
When: Saturday, September 20 – 9:00 am – 12:30 pm
Where: Clementine Beach Preserve, Lake Clementine
The Great Sierra River Cleanup Day is back! It’s part of the largest volunteer event in California! GSRC is a Sierra-wide watershed cleanup event coordinated by Sierra Nevada Alliance in collaboration with California’s Coastal Cleanup Day. Last year, 46,201 volunteers removed 398,654 pounds (199 tons) of trash from the Sierra Nevada waterways and across the state’s entire coastline. If you would like to learn more about the impact and history of the event, visit the Sierra Nevada Alliance site here. We are hosting our annual Cleanup Day to support the efforts!

We will spend the morning picking up litter at our Clementine Beach Preserve and at the connected Upper Lake Clementine Beach area. Lunch will be provided at the end of the day! You are welcome to spend time at the public beach along the river after the cleanup, but please note that the river is very fast and cold.
The activities are best suited for adults and youth ages 10 and up. Any minor must be accompanied by a supervising adult. There are limited spaces available, so if you’re interested, please sign up! More details, directions to the Preserve, and a list of what to bring will be emailed after registration. Check your spam folder if you do not receive the email within 15 minutes of registering.
Participants must sign a release of liability available here. Please complete the online waiver by noon the Friday before the event. One form per adult. Parent signature is required for children under 18.

Thank you to the Auburn State Recreation Area for their help in coordinating this event!
