Brought to you by the Auburn Symphony and Placer Land Trust

Date & Time: Sunday, April 28th, 2024
5:00 – 7:00pm

We recommend arriving by 6:00 pm at the latest to allow for time to walk the trail.

Location:  Laursen Bear River Preserve, North Auburn. Directions will be provided upon registration.

Come experience the “Symphony Under the Sky!”  This special event, a collaboration between the Auburn Symphony and Placer Land Trust, brings you the joy of music in the great outdoors! Wander the easy walking trail on the preserve and find musician ensembles tucked in the trees… hear Mozart in the meadow or Bach just around the bend… choose your own adventure!

We will provide you with a trail map when you check in, and from there, you are free to walk the trail at your own pace.

  • Release your inner musician and play in the interactive percussion area!
  • Bring a picnic dinner to enjoy at the meadow, close to the parking area, where we will have more musicians.
  • Relax with friends and family and soak in the tunes!

Distance and difficulty: This will be an easy outing with about 1.4 miles of walking, mostly on trails with some slope and uneven terrain. To get from the parking lot to the main meadow where we will have a brass quintet, guests must walk a dirt trail with a small slope and some uneven terrain for a couple hundred feet. Please let us know if you will need assistance.

Cost: This is a free event thanks to our generous sponsors, Joyce Armitage and Emigrant Trails Greenway Trust.

This event will kick off Big Day of Giving for both the Auburn Symphony and Placer Land Trust! If you would like to further the mission of either organization (or both), please consider donating at the direct links below or in the email you will receive after registration.
