The official event is Wednesday, Sept. 13th from 5:00-7:00 pm on the shores of Kidd Lake, and includes a casual dinner and dedication ceremony. RSVPs are required.
But why come to such a beautiful place for only 2 hours? Come as early as 1:00 pm for some optional activities:
- Water Play – Bring your suits and a towel to enjoy a swim, or try out a Stand Up Paddle (SUP) board courtesy of Tahoe Sports Hub (they’ll have instructors, boards, paddles and personal flotation devices). SUP activities from 2:00-4:00pm. Or bring your own non-motorized watercraft or toys to play on the water.
- Hiking – There are many trails to explore, be sure to bring your hiking shoes, water bottles and snacks.
- Biking – Bring your bike and explore the area on two wheels.
Not sure you’ll want to leave this amazing place? We’ve reserved a group campground so you can stay the night (space is limited so advanced reservation with PLT is required). Bring your own camping gear and enjoy the site until 11am Thursday (PLT staff will not be present overnight).
